Waynesville Police Department

Officer Kopp joined the Waynesville Police Department in 2005 with over 5 years experience as a sworn police officer. He is a strong advocate in community policing and enjoys operating as a bike patrol officer. Officer Kopp has received numerous amounts of advanced law enforcement training, which includes his International Police Mountain Bike Association certification. Prior to his law enforcement career, Officer Kopp served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. He served in many foreign countries which included the Persian Gulf War in 1991. His military duties include: flight line mechanic, air crew member and door gunner on CH-53(E) helicopters. Officer Kopp enjoys interacting with the public while on patrol, whether in a cruiser or on bicycle.
